Safety Netting UK
Temporary edge protection systems
We offer a range of temporary edge protection systems to provide confident safety for your workforce whilst working at height. Which includes: Class A: Provides protection for flat surfaces and slopes up to 10 degrees. This level of protection requires that the system supports a person leaning against, walking beside and possible stumbling against the edge protection system – it is based on static loads.
Class B: Provides complete protection for flat surfaces and slopes generally up to 30 degrees, even steeper slopes with short slope lengths. This class of protection requires support for leaning, walking beside, stumbling against and sliding down a sloping surface towards the edge protection system. The system can provide resistance to both static and low dynamic loads.
Class C: Provides secure protection for steeply sloping surfaces generally up to 45 degrees, and up to 60 degrees for 5 metre slopes. It provides resistance for high dynamic loads only and is based on the requirements to contain a person sliding down a steeply sloping surface.
All of our temporary edge protection systems meet the requirements of the European Standard BS EN 13374:2013. They have been designed and tested to meet the Class A, B and C standards required by the legislation. The system will integrate perfectly with our debris netting systems and provide you with an effective safety solution for your workforce.
